Based on POJK No. 35/POJK.05/2015, Venture Capital Business is a financing endeavor through equity participation and/or financing for a certain period in order to develop business for business partners or borrowers.

Based on POJK No. 35/POJK.05/2015, a Venture Capital Company (PMV) is a business entity engaged in Venture Capital Business, venture capital fund management, fee-based service activities, and other business activities with the approval of the Financial Services Authority. Additionally, PMV may conduct business activities based on Sharia principles or Sharia Venture Capital Company.

Based on POJK No. 35/POJK.05/2015, the financing products or business activities of a Venture Capital Company (PMV) include:

1. Equity participation
2. Participation through the purchase of convertible bonds (quasi equity participation)
3. Financing through the purchase of debt securities issued by partner companies (PU) in the early stages (start-up) or business development
4. Productive business financing

In addition, other business activities of PMV include:

1. Fee-based service activities
2. Other business activities with the approval of the Financial Services Authority (OJK)

The advantages and disadvantages of Venture Capital compared to Bank Loans are as follows:

1. Financing from Venture Capital companies can serve as a source of funding for new companies that do not yet qualify for funding from other sources. Meanwhile, bank loans typically have requirements that are difficult for a new business or company to meet; generally, businesses funded by banks have been operational for at least 2 (two) years.
2. The assistance provided by Venture Capital companies includes equity participation, convertible bonds, and management assistance. Partner companies (PU) may lose management control and ownership of their company because Venture Capital companies can place their representatives in the company's management as a consequence of the invested capital. In contrast, with banking, if you take out a loan from a bank, you retain full control of your company, but your company will incur interest and other fees.

Productive Business Financing for Non-PPU is financing provided to PNMVC debtors who will develop their businesses. The distribution of financing is carried out by PNMVC Representative Offices.

PaDI Business Financing is invoice financing provided to vendors affiliated with PNM and its subsidiaries who are registered on the PaDI Platform.

ULaMM Business Synergy Financing is financing provided to ULaMM customers who will top up their credit limit.
